Overview

When author, affiliation or suggested-reviewer details cannot be verified from the submission alone, we check them against multiple independent sources and return a concise evidence report to the handling editor.

What’s Included

• Authors matched to ORCID when provided and to independent institutional records
• Affiliations checked against official institutional directories and public research profiles
• Suggested reviewers checked through institutional profiles, publication history and disclosed conflict indicators
• Manuscript-level integrity indicators recorded separately without attributing intent
• Results classified as verified, unresolved or inconsistent, with the source for each finding

Important Limitations

A free email address, missing ORCID or limited web presence is never treated alone as evidence of misconduct or false identity. The report does not make an editorial decision. The journal’s editor investigates any unresolved inconsistency and decides the next step.

Delivery is normally within two working days. Manuscripts are treated as confidential and are not used for model training.
