Overview

The accreditation cycle or ranking submission is approaching, and the institution’s journal is listed as evidence of research output and quality. Somebody has to make sure it holds up: that it is genuinely peer reviewed, published on time, ethically governed, properly registered, and that all of this can be shown with documents rather than assurances.

Accreditation & Ranking Compliance takes the framework that applies to you, maps what it asks of a journal, and tests your journal against it. Where the journal falls short, we remediate what can be remediated inside the timeframe. Where it cannot be fixed in time, we tell you plainly so the institution does not claim what it cannot support. The output is an evidence pack organized the way the assessors will ask for it.

It is for university publishing offices, deans of research, IQAC coordinators and journal editors in institutions facing NAAC, NIRF, UGC-CARE, NBA, or equivalent national accreditation, ranking or journal-listing processes elsewhere in Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.

• Framework mapping — the specific criteria, metrics and evidence requirements of your framework that touch the journal, in one document.
• Gap analysis — each requirement marked as met, partially met or not met, with the evidence we found and what is missing.
• Remediation plan — the actions needed, prioritized by assessment weight and by how quickly they can be completed before your deadline.
• Remediation execution — policy documents, registrations (ISSN, DOI, ORCID integration, archiving), website corrections, board records, and ethics statements brought into order.
• Evidence pack — a structured folder with an index: policies, peer review records (anonymized), publication schedule evidence, board composition, registrations, ethics and plagiarism procedures, and a one-page summary for the assessment file.
• Briefing note — what the institution can and cannot claim about the journal, written for the person who will face the assessors.

How It Works

1. You tell us the framework, the deadline and which journals are in scope.
2. We map the framework and audit the journal, usually in two to three weeks.
3. You approve the remediation plan; we execute the items assigned to us and support your team on the rest.
4. We assemble and index the evidence pack and deliver the briefing note.
5. Optional: a rehearsal session with the people who will present the journal to the assessors.

Priced per journal per framework. Institutions with several journals under one framework receive a portfolio rate.

What Stays With Your Editors

Accreditation work never changes what the journal publishes or who reviews it. Your editors keep full authority over reviewer selection, editorial assessment and acceptance. We put the policies, records and infrastructure in order so that those decisions can be evidenced; we do not make them.

Important Limitations

• Accreditation grades, ranking positions and journal-list inclusion are decided solely by the assessing body. NeucitePress prepares, remediates and submits but cannot sell inclusion or a grade.
• Where the framework rewards indexing in Scopus, Web of Science or a national list, inclusion is decided solely by each database. NeucitePress prepares, remediates and submits but cannot sell inclusion.
• We will not create back-dated records or evidence for things that did not happen. If the journal has not been peer reviewed or published on schedule, the pack will say so and the plan will show how to fix it going forward.
• Framework criteria change. We work from the current published version at the time of engagement.

Common Questions

Our journal was removed from UGC-CARE. Can you get it back?
We can diagnose why, remediate the causes and prepare the resubmission. The listing decision belongs to the listing body.

We only have four months. Is that enough?
Enough to fix policies, registrations, website and records, and to build a credible evidence pack. It is not enough to change the journal’s publication history, which is why the briefing note tells you what to claim.

Is this the same as an indexing audit?
