On-Time Issues, Guaranteed Dates

$699.00

Formal name: Issue Assembly / Continuous Publication (per issue). Your accepted articles are sitting in OJS and the issue is late again. NeucitePress takes the finalized manuscripts, typesets and paginates them, builds the table of contents and cover, produces the full-issue PDF and the web-ready files, and delivers on a date agreed in advance: 5–7 days for up to 10 articles, 7–10 days for 10–20. Works for scheduled issues and for continuous, article-by-article publication.

On-Time Issues, Guaranteed Dates

Overview

“We have twelve accepted papers and no one to lay them out, so the June issue will appear in September.” Irregular publication is one of the most common reasons journals fail Scopus and Web of Science timeliness checks, and it is almost always a production problem, not an editorial one.

NeucitePress assembles each issue from the accepted, finalized manuscripts you hand over: article layout in your template, pagination, table of contents, cover, full-issue PDF and the individual files for your website or OJS. The delivery date is agreed when the manuscripts arrive, and NeucitePress commits to it. For journals that publish continuously, the same service runs article by article.

Who this is for: journals without in-house production staff, journals catching up on a backlog, and journals that need to demonstrate publishing regularity for indexing.

What’s Included

  • Article layout — professional typesetting in the journal’s template
  • Pagination — sequential page numbering across the issue
  • Table of contents generated for the issue
  • Cover assembly — issue cover with volume, issue, date and contents
  • Full-issue PDF and individual article PDFs
  • Web-ready files and upload to OJS or delivery for your website, with issue metadata
  • Committed delivery date confirmed at hand-over

How It Works

Issue sizeTimeline from hand-over
Up to 10 articles5–7 days
10–20 articles7–10 days
  1. Hand-over — you send the accepted, copyedited manuscripts and figures; we confirm the delivery date.
  2. Layout and proof — articles are typeset and a proof set is returned for the editor’s check.
  3. Assembly — corrections applied, issue paginated, contents and cover built.
  4. Delivery — files delivered and, if requested, published in OJS on the agreed date.

What Stays With Your Editors

The journal’s editors keep final authority over reviewer selection, editorial assessment and acceptance, and over the content and order of each issue. NeucitePress runs the production process and delivers on the agreed date.

Important Limitations

  • Articles must be peer-reviewed, accepted and finalized (copyedited and author-approved) before hand-over. Copyediting is a separate service.
  • The committed date is measured from complete hand-over; late or incomplete manuscripts move the date.
  • Covers up to 20 articles per issue; larger issues are quoted separately. JATS XML production is available as an add-on.
  • Per-issue pricing; journals with regular issues can move to a schedule under the Managed Editorial Office.

Common Questions

Do you work in our existing template?
Yes. If you do not have one, the Journal Identity Package produces it.

Can you clear a backlog of several issues?
Yes. Backlog issues are scheduled in sequence with a committed date for each.

What if we publish article by article rather than in issues?
The same service runs per article, with a committed date for each, and a volume-level table of contents assembled at year end.

Every engagement can begin with the Journal Health Check.
