For each submission, we search a curated reviewer pool and the literature for qualified, conflict-free reviewers, present a shortlist for your editor’s approval, and then run the invitation, reminder, replacement and escalation cycle inside your OJS workflow until the required reviews are complete.

How It Works

1. Assignment — your editor flags a submission as ready for review.
2. Shortlist — we identify candidates, screen for conflicts and send the shortlist to your editor.
3. Approval — your editor approves, removes or adds names.
4. Invitation cycle — we invite, remind, replace and escalate until the agreed number of reviews is complete.
5. Hand-back — the completed reviews (with a structured summary on Standard and Premium) go to your editor for decision.

What Stays With Your Editors

The journal’s editors keep final authority over reviewer selection, editorial assessment and acceptance. No reviewer is invited without editor approval, and no recommendation from NeucitePress substitutes for the editor’s decision. NeucitePress runs the sourcing, invitation and tracking process and the OJS infrastructure.

Important Limitations

• Reviewer acceptance and review completion depend on the reviewers themselves. NeucitePress commits to the sourcing and follow-up process, not to a guaranteed review completion date.
• Tiers are defined by the number of active manuscripts (up to 10, 25 or 50). Submissions beyond the tier limit are handled at the per-submission rate agreed in your proposal.
• Compatible with single-blind, double-blind and open review in OJS 3.x; journals on other platforms are quoted individually.

Common Questions

Where do the reviewers come from?
From a curated pool built from your existing reviewer database, the reference lists and subject literature of each manuscript, and researcher profiles with verifiable publication records. Every candidate is screened for conflicts of interest before the shortlist is sent.

Can our editor reject the whole shortlist?
Yes. We then produce a new shortlist. The editor always chooses.

Do you write the decision letter?
No. On Standard and Premium we compile a structured summary of the completed reviews; the editorial assessment and decision letter remain with your editor.
